Why unisex clothing?

Gender is a characteristic that attracts a lot of attention in society. We see the words "for men" or "for women" on products, accessories, and clothing almost everywhere. For some, it's important to surround ourselves with objects that validate our masculine or feminine identity. For others, it's not. In any case, these days, talking about gender can spark heated debates.

Alyks is interested in gender labeling debates, particularly in the aspect of self-transposition through clothing style. We recognize the social need to belong to a gender and the thousands of products available to suit these needs. However, we want to address a real need that some clothing companies have yet to address.

Unisex clothing is a way to be inclusive for more silhouettes. The reality is that every human being's body is different regardless of gender, culture, or age. Therefore, we want to create clothing that can fit the majority. Finding the right shape and fabric for each type of bust and crotch is, for us, a challenge that fuels creativity.
